Tales Of The Old Republic

ISSUES

WHAT PUSHES OUR HEROES TO ACT?

Oruba-the-hutt_detail.png

These are problems and threats that exist already, and you have to overcome them to get your characters to the next level (i.e. opening up the next level to play) In taking on these issues, you are trying to change the world and to make it a better place.

Our issues are:

THE HUTT CARTEL

On Nar Shaddaa, the Hutt’s eyes and ears are everywhere, and they control everything that is anything on this lawless and corrupt cityworld.

THE WAR WITH THE SITH

Most think of the Sith as myth and legend, but their influence is real and near… they have spent centuries plotting their revenge, and the gears of war have begun to turn. Who will warn the Jedi and the Republic?

OTHER POSSIBLE ISSUES

Some other ideas on the table were:

1. THE HUTT CARTEL

An obvious issue could be the Hutt Cartel which controls the planet, and the other crime syndicates trying to muscle in. Their turf wars and goals would put the lives of our heroes, their friends and family at risk.

2. THE COMPETITION

Another idea is that the Hutts, while far from benevolent, are at least hands-off and leave you be. The other syndicates looking to move in on the action aren’t quite as mindful of their own business.

3. CORPORATE INTEREST

Many new technologies were born on Nar Shaddaa – un-named and faceless corporation agents find its environment useful when it wants to perform research which would be frowned on elsewhere.
